St. James School Board Selects Superintendent
St. James, MN— At a special board meeting on May 14, 2025, the St. James School Board unanimously voted to select Liam Dawson as the district’s next superintendent.
Dawson currently serves as the Elementary Principal in St. James. “Liam has demonstrated that he not only meets but exceeds the hiring criteria established by our board and confirmed through the stakeholder survey. As the new leader of St. James Public Schools, he will be able to build on past work and successes, and he is committed to moving the district forward. We are excited for this next chapter to begin,” said Richard Spitzner, St. James School Board Chair. The school board will be conducting negotiations with Dawson and a contract is expected to be approved by the school board at an upcoming board meeting.
The pending start date for Dawson will be July 1, 2025.
